Since teenage years, most are familiar with some type of acne creams, face washes, and other invasive treatments to treat acne. Acne stickers sound like a gimmick when compared to all the expensive, medical treatments out there. Most of us have occasional breakouts. For these type of breakouts acne stickers are extremely effective. I came across these when I started getting into the Korean Skincare regime. When I got the spot dots, I peeled them and stuck them on the 3-4 pimples I had to see how effective they were.
These are not your typical medicinal patch. Instead of dispensing acidic contents into the skin, they absorb contents of the pimple. The patches are formulated with hydrocolloid, a gel-like wound treatment that absorbs fluids, creates a thermal insulation for the wound bed, and prevents bacteria from entering. The patches are clear and discreet. You can even put makeup on it!
After using them overnight, many of the smaller pimples were undetectable and after a couple of more nights, the skin was clear. The stickers come in different sizes and hence can be applied on different sizes of pimples!
